In the fall of 2014, I found a new fossil plant locality near Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Brian Axsmith (University of South Alabama), and Mac Alford (University of Southern Missisippi), and I are working on paper to describe the findings. So far we've identified about 18 genera of plants and one insect fossil (a stonefly wing).
